This page is dedicated to my artwork inspired by the ZentangleĀ® Method of pattern drawing. It includes pieces created using the traditional Zentangle MethodĀ assembled by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, as well as my own Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) and doodles.
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Zentangle art is generally non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. You don't need to know what a tangle is going to look like to draw it. You just need to know the steps (most tangles are less than six steps, using basic strokes like the letters I, S, C, and O.) The result is a delightful surprise. As you use the Zentangle Method to create beautiful images, you likely will enjoy increased focus, creativity, self-confidence and an increased sense well-being.
I personally love the repetition and flow state I achieve while tangling. It's my home base as an artist and a great way to warm up and focus my creative energy or break through creative block. In 2023 I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT).
